The I-Cane social technology BV was initiated due to the growing, evident need of the I-Cane Foundation to have an operational business platform. The BV pursues the foundation’s aims on the operational, market level and conducts the business and technical administration and development.

The I-Cane Social Technology BV primary goal according to its articles is to bring innovative aids onto the market for (visually) handicapped users, in line with the goals of the I-Cane Foundation. In concrete terms this means to develop, produce, distribute, sell and provide after-service for these innovative aids either done by I-Cane Social Technology BV itself or as the director of these operations. The I-Cane BV strives to outsource mass production, distribution and service to leading organizations, on the basis of licensing.

In addition to this, the organization is capable of supporting the needed finances to achieve these aims. In the beginning, the organization will get these through subsidies, credit and monetary loans. In the future, the organization will obtain financial means from revenue and operating results.

The managing director of I-Cane social technology bv is Hans Slijp. Hans has a background as partner with both PA Consulting Group and B&A groep.
